Yesterday I watched "Les parapluies de Cherbourg" cozied up in the sofa with my boyfriend. I already liked Catherine Deneuve, now, I love her. The movie was suprisingly un-fussy, plus the decorations and wardrobe were fantastic!
The Genevieve character whore a beautiful beige coat I fell in love with, and a lot of fantastic late 50's/ early 60's dresses.
Most of the rooms had very bright patterned (and very french!) wallpapers in coordinate/matching colors with the clothes of the actresses
The music, of course, was touching and captured the mood of every scene perfectly.
Ayer vi "Les parapluies de Cherbourg" enroscada en el sofá con mi chico. Si ya me gustaba Catherine Deneuve, ahora la adoro. La película no era nada cursi, soprendentemente, y además los decorados y el vestuario eran fantásticos.
El personaje de Genevieve llevaba un precioso abrigo beige del que me enamoré al momento, y vestidos estilo tardíos años 50 / tempranos años 60 preciosos.
La mayoría de las habitaciones tenían papel pintado estampado muy brillante (¡y muy francés!) coordinados o a juego con la ropa de las actrices.
La música, por supuesto, era conmovedora y transmitía el ánimo de cada escena a la perfección.
